5
Expert opinion

Tim Atkim opines: This pure Tinto Fino, named after Paco's father, Doroteo Rodero, comes from a 102-year-old plot near the winery in Pedrosa de Duero. (…) Aromas of dark chocolate and mountain herbs transform into a palate of fine-grained tannins, fragrant plums, and blueberries.

6
Vineyard and production

Pago de los Capellanes Doroteo is a limited-edition wine made from centuries-old Tempranillo vines planted at over 800 meters above sea level on poor clay and gravel soils. It is cultivated using traditional practices and manual harvesting with rigorous bunch selection. After careful vinification and controlled fermentation, the wine ages for 36 months in French oak barrels and an additional 24 months in the bottle. Created to celebrate the winery's 25th anniversary, this wine pays tribute to the legacy of its founder, Doroteo Rodero, expressing depth, elegance, and character.
